SportsTips (sportstips.com.au) is an Australian sports analytics and information service that identifies potential value in sporting event odds. We are not a licensed bookmaker and do not accept bets.

What Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

• Account information — your name and email address when you register
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your card or bank details
• Email address — if you subscribe to our free tips newsletter
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, via server logs

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and manage your SportsTips account
• To process premium subscription payments
• To send you free tips emails (newsletter subscribers only, with your consent)
• To send transactional emails such as password resets
• To improve the service and diagnose technical issues

Third Parties

We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the service:

• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• PayPal — payment processing (PayPal Privacy Policy)
• The Odds API — sports odds data provider. No personal data is shared

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser but this will prevent you from logging in.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is removed within 30 days. Email logs are retained for 90 days for operational purposes.

Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe and PayPal — we never see or store your payment credentials.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
