The 2025 soccer schedule for Samford University has been unveiled, promising an exciting lineup of matches against formidable opponents. Head coach Todd Yelton presented the schedule, featuring games against SEC powerhouses Auburn and Alabama, as well as local rival UAB, and a challenging Southern Conference series.
The season kicks off with exhibition games against Georgia and Ole Miss on August 4 and August 8, respectively, followed by the regular season opener against Georgia Southern on August 14. The Bulldogs will then face SEC rivals Auburn and South Alabama on August 17 and August 21, respectively.
Samford will host Alabama on August 24 before hitting the road for matches against Jacksonville State and Georgia State on August 28 and September 4. The team will return home to play against Western Kentucky on September 7 and then embark on away games against Belmont and UAB on September 11 and September 14.
Conference play begins with a home game against Western Carolina on September 18, followed by matchups against Chattanooga, Wofford, The Citadel, Furman, VMI, and Mercer throughout September and October. The regular season concludes with a home game against ETSU on October 19 and an away game against UNC Greensboro on October 26.
The Southern Conference Tournament will kick off on October 28 at various campus sites, leading to the quarterfinals and semifinals on October 31 and November 2, hosted by the top-seeded teams. The championship game is set for November 9 at the highest remaining seed’s campus.
